Llamas don't usually like to be touched except for on the neck. This guy is really patient.

From the base camp, we did a couple of day hikes. Mainly we hiked around the bench area in the Naturalist Basin. Behind us is Lake Jordan.

Llamas are smarter than you might think. They actually look for the easiest way to get around rocks and water puddles. They don't like to get their feet wet, if you can believe that!

To reach the bench area we had to climb up this nasty hill.
